Coastal Roots Microschool Academic Year:

September 1st, 2026-June 10th, 2027

Hours: 8:30-2:30

Holiday Breaks:

Thanksgiving: One Week

Christmas: Two Weeks

Spring Break: One Week

**United States National Holidays will be observed as well

Sample Schedule

This is a sample of what a day at the microschool will look like:

8:30-9:00: Arrival and Morning Routine/Movement

9:00-10:00: English/Literature Mini Lesson and Activity

10:00-10:20: Snack and Break 

10:20-11:20: Mathematics Mini Lesson and Activity

11:20-12:00: Indoor Montessori Work Cycle / Self Directed Learning: Ex-STEM toys, sensory bins, reading

12:05-12:35: Lunch and Social Time

12:40-1:00: Science/ Social Studies Exploration Mini Lesson

1:00-1:40: Science Extension/Outdoor Montessori Work Cycle / Self Directed Learning: Ex-Gardening, sensory bins, nature collecting, etc. 

1:40-2:15: ENRICHMENT : Organized PE with Art / Music / Special Guest

2:15-2:30: Reflection journals and dismissal.
